BIOGRAPHY: 
Alistair Jeffrey joined the RAF on May 18th, 1937 when he was granted a short service commission. He was posted at RAF Church Fenton from June 1938 until early 1940.
He then joined No. 64 Squadron and was active in aerial combats as of Spring 1940.
Jeffrey destroyed three Ju87 and one Ju86K on the ground; all on June 1st, 1940. On July 7th, 1940 he destroyed a Me110 in aerial combat and two He115's on July 19th.
He was killed in action on July 25th near Dover when his Spitfire P9421 crashed in the North Sea.
His body is later washed up on Dutch coast and was interred by the Germans.
