BIOGRAPHY: 
William Anderson graduated from the United States Naval Academy on 26th May 1926. He was the Commanding Officer on the U.S.S. Thresher (SS 200) from 27th March 1940 until 25th May 1942.
He retired as a Rear-Admiral in 1956.
